Tear Down Session is an initiative by Kerala Hardware Mission, to create an ecosystem for hardware startups in Kerala. The sessions are organised in association with B-hub and Ingen Robotics. These sessions will see teams of experts and self taught entrepreneurs take apart hardware devices, and explore how and why hardware is built the way it is.
We will explore the mechatronics, electronics and the material science behind these products. Over a period of few years this program aims to build a community of makers with a good understanding of hardware design and manufacturing. This community will contribute to the rise of Kerala as a destination for hardware startups. The first session will be led by Rejin Narayanan.
Rejin Narayanan did his masters in Autonomous Systems from the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences in Germany, and is the founder of the consumer robotics startup – Ingen Robotics. Their first product is a fully automatic roti making robot, which was designed and developed in Trivandrum.
Rejin has rich experience in industry and research institutes, and has several paper publications and patent applications to his credit. His specialities include mobile robotics, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and most recently consumer robotics. Rejin is very much a hands on person, with skills in software, electronics, mechanics, and product design.
Welcoming all hardware entrepreneurs, makers and tinkerers for this monthly session where you can learn by practically dismantling hardware devices. It is a great opportunity to share and gain knowledge in hardware design and manufacturing.
